Soprano
NOUGIER Lise
Lise Nougier is a passionate and highly promising lyric soprano. She studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSM), where she earned a Master’s degree in vocal performance before joining the Paris Opera Academy. Her encounter with renowned soprano Diana Damrau in 2020 marked a decisive turning point in her vocal journey, profoundly shaping her artistic and technical development.
Her voice—velvety and rounded, with a bright, silvery upper register—stands out for its rare richness of timbre. This vocal range allows her to approach demanding roles with natural elegance, including Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte, Mozart), Mimì (La Bohème, Puccini), and Micaëla (Carmen, Bizet). Recently, she appeared as the First Lady in The Magic Flute with the Canadian Vocal Arts Institute in Montreal and performed the role of Marguerite in Faust by Gounod at the Théâtre de Mâcon.
Lise has had the honor of collaborating with renowned artists such as conductor Claire Gibault, stage director Alain Françon, soprano Sabine Devieilhe, and pianist Alexandre Tharaud, and has performed at prestigious festivals including Les Folles Journées de Nantes, the Aix-en-Provence Easter Festival, the Glanum Festival, and the Ravel Festival.
With a deep sensitivity to text and the French language, Lise has always been passionate about theater. She holds a double Bachelor’s degree in Modern Literature and Performing Arts, and has further enriched her artistic background through training in acting, improvisation, clowning, and tap dance. These diverse influences converge in her creative projects, such as P.S.: I reread you constantly, a performance combining opera and theater built around some of the most beautiful letters from the lyric repertoire and French chanson, woven together by a romantic narrative.
Always seeking new sonic horizons, she has recently begun a new collaboration with harpist Sujata Chapelain on a program dedicated to French mélodie.
Nominated ADAMI Lyric Revelation in 2019 and recently awarded First Prize – Soloist at the Gordes Singing Competition, Lise Nougier continues to leave her mark on the operatic stage, captivating audiences with her talent, commitment, and distinctive artistic personality.
