BERRY Christophe

After studying interior architecture at the École Boulle, Christophe Berry pursued studies in piano and voice, later refining his technique with Jean-Marie Siougos of the Paris Opera.

He made his stage debut with the roles of Gontran (*Les Mousquetaires au Couvent*) and Camille de Rosillon (*La Veuve joyeuse*).

Since then, he has been regularly invited to perform at major French venues, including the Opéra National de Bordeaux (productions of *Anna Bolena*, *Tristan und Isolde*, *Turandot*, Siebel in *Faust*), the Opéra National de Lorraine (productions of *L’Étoile*, *Wozzeck*, *A Midsummer Night’s Dream*, Arturo in *Lucia di Lammermoor*, Gardefeu in *La Vie Parisienne*, Brighella in *Ariadne auf Naxos*), the Opéra de Marseille (productions of *Lucia di Lammermoor*, *Dialogues des Carmélites*, *Boris Godunov*, *Gioconda*, Laërte in *Hamlet*), the Opéra National de Paris (Borsa in *Rigoletto*), the Chorégies d'Orange Festival (Borsa in *Rigoletto*, Gastone in *La Traviata*), and the Opéra de Tours (Duke of Mantua in *Rigoletto*, Nicias in *Thaïs*, and the Chevalier de la Force in *Dialogues des Carmélites*).

Among the other roles he has performed, we find Tybalt (*Roméo et Juliette*) at the Opéra de Tours, Lausanne, Monte Carlo, and Mascate in Oman, Camille de Rosillon at the Opéra de Tours, Marseille, and Lausanne, Gérald (*Lakmé*) in Cairo, at the Opéra de Saint-Étienne, Lausanne, and Santiago de Chile, Cassio (*Otello*) at the Opéra de Massy, and Fortunio at the Opéra de Limoges and Rennes. He has also portrayed Werther in Nîmes, Mario Cavaradossi (*Tosca*) in Marmande, as well as with Opéra en plein air, Don José (*La Tragédie de Carmen*) and Pinkerton (*Madama Butterfly*) in Mandelieu, and the Comte de Lerme (*Don Carlo*) at the Opéra de Marseille.

Recently, he portrayed Faust (*La Damnation de Faust*) in Erfurt and Don Alvaro (*L’Africaine*) in Marseille.

His upcoming projects include Pinkerton in Marmande for the Nuits Lyriques, as well as Manrico (*Il Trovatore*) at the Opéra de Québec.
